Auf Grund ihres unglücklich verlaufenden Liebeslebens flüchtet Addison nach Santa Monica, um sich dort mit ihren Studiums-Feunden Naomi (Audra McDonald) und Jackson (Taye Diggs) zu treffen. Sie will die beiden um Rat fragen und denkt, dass die zwei alles geschafft haben, was ihr misslang.


Addison erfährt jedoch sehr bald, dass Jackson, sich von Naomi hat scheiden lassen. Während ihres Besuchs lernt Addison außerdem die anderen Mitglieder der Kooperative kennen: ein verwitweter Heilpraktiker, eine von Selbstzweifeln geplagte Therapeutin und ein Internist, der kaum etwas über Frauen weiß. In diesem Umkreis merkt Addison, dass es anderen ähnlich ergeht wie ihr.


Sie kommt zu dem Schluss, dass das private Leben, der Leute um sie herum, vielleicht eine Katastrophe sein möge, sie aber allesamt erfolgreich im Beruf sind. Somit beschließt sie mit dem Seattle Grace Krankenhaus abzuschließen und der Oceanside Wellness Group beizutreten.
